The main differences between the different technologies is the way you must maintain them for maximum life. Granted, while on the job, this can be hard to do sometimes. I recommend the 15 minute charger for these special circumstances. Although do not make this your main charger. Habitually charging the batteries in this type of charger will significantly reduce the life of your battery. When possible, always recharge the Dewalt DC9096 Batteries slowly and after they have cooled down. It is always a good idea to have enough spare batteries to get the job done. This will allow you to get the max service life from the batteries while getting the job done efficiently.
In conclusion, I would recommend the Dewalt DC9096 XRP batteries for your Dewalt cordless tools. They are a solid product from a reliable company. Just be sure to learn about the battery technology also so that you can get the most service life possible from them.
